Ten-Second Residential Parking Permit Program On-Line Survey!

Original post made by Craig Laughton, College Terrace, on Feb 22, 2013

So, I get home today, after a very taxing day donating my efforts to the local Little League park, conditioning the field for opening day.

Inside my mail box is a flyer from somebody named Aaron Greenspan, or so the flyer says/suggests. He want wants College Terrace neighbors to do a "Ten-Second" online survery, with his stated position to opt out of the RPPP in College Terrace.

I looked up his website, that he directed all to go to. It is a real absurdity, in terms of running a real poll...completely driven to to get a vote to oppose the current RPPP in CT.

I would suggest that all CT residents just refuse to buy into his bogus poll. He will come up with a set of results, I am sure, but it is has no statistcial value.

However, I do suggest that all CT residents who are intereted, go to his website to determine how absurd his poll is. Look in your mailbox, where he (illegally) placed his political flyer.

I support getting rid of the RPPP in college terrace and support allowing at campers on our streets. I used to be a right wing but now I am a leftist, so I support car camping and oppose residential parking permits
P.S., Craig, if you are donating your time, do not make an issue out of it -- sounds more like " look at me I am donating y time and it is very taxing. Aren't I wonderful"

Gary,

Please try to show some respect for College Terrace. It is not "college terrace", it is College Terrace. We are a real neighborhood that deserves respect, and we fight for it. The RPPP is one example of this respect we have for ourselves.

I notice that you are OK with the Downtown North handle. BTW, do you think that DN needs an RPPP? I am aware of several people who want it.

Not to mention: I am proud of my volunteer work, and I don't mind mentioning a hard day at the job, only to find an illegal political flyer in my mailbox. This is the first time I have ever gotten such a thing in my mailbox. All the others, including the solicitors of landscaping offers, avoid my mailbox. "Aaron Greenspan" (according to the flyer) ignored the U.S. Mail law...that really pissed me off...after a hard day at the park. Then only to see how his ridiculous poll was pushed....

Obviously some people are not happy with the RPPP in college terrace. Don't they have a right to change the system?
If you have an issue with the flyer n your box contact the post office or police.

I support RPPPs in any neighborhood that needs them, not just College Terrace. But especially College Terrace, since I live here, and know its struggles.

CT has done a very good job at attempting to protect itself. CT now has an identity, and it can no longer be run over by SRP, or run through by Stanford traffic, or occupied by car campers. It was not always that way. Much has been accomplished, but there is still some more to be done. The car campers around the JJ&F block are still there, and they should not be. Our City Council promised a parking ban at night, 1-5 AM, yet it has not yet completed the implemtation of its plan...it has only been a partial completion.

When will our Council's promise be kept?
