Make the Bay Area a single Silicon Valley Region Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Resident, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Feb 9, 2013 at 7:43 am
This is the sort of idea that makes so much sense to me. I am glad that the powers that be are starting to think along these lines. Web Link
Hopefully all the different cities can still keep their own identities, but having one overseeing authority rather than all these little councils and agencies will make life simpler for all and save money as well as improve infrastructure for the whole area.

I really like this idea and can't understand why nobody else is wanting to comment.
We need to make some noise to get things to happen even if the noise is only on sites like this. At least keeping our eyes and ears open to the possibilities may get someone who is a mover and shaker on board.

Not the whole Bay Area, certainly. Just the South Bay and the Peninsula, maybe southern Fremont, too. But not the North Bay or most of the East Bay, please!
