Will AYSO, Fall Ball, etc. start in August to align with school calendar?
Schools & Kids, posted by Parent, a resident of the Palo Verde neighborhood, 11 hours ago

Does anyone know if the non school sports will start their fall programs before Labor Day now that school starts early?

Thanks.

Youth Football in EPA, PA, Mtn View and Menlo Atherton start Aug 1. They have for decades.

Non school sports have "seasons" that are influenced by their national organizations. I doubt the school calendar has any influence on the start date. For example, school start dates vary all over the US but the Little League world series is always held in August and the dates for all of the regional and local tournaments are set by the national organization. Often it happens teams playing in the Little League World series are missing school to play! I don't think sport dates should have any influence on our calendar (and vice versa).
