Recommend a good year round CSA? Restaurants, posted by Organiclaws, a resident of the Crescent Park neighborhood, on Jan 10, 2013 at 9:45 pm Organiclaws is a member (registered user) of Palo Alto Online
I'd like to sign up for a year round CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Pick up anywhere in Palo Alto or Menlo Park is fine. The two I've found so far are Maraquita Farm and High Ground Organics. I also looked at Frog Hollow Farms which has a very convenient pick location, but they seem to only do fruits, and I definitely want vegetables as well.
Anyone tried Maraquita or High Ground, or any other recommendations?

One other possibility - Capay Valley Farm Shop. Their website says they do a dropoff at Calafia.

I heartily recommend Collective Roots in E. Palo Alto, w/pick up in Palo Alto as well as their office on Woodland/Newell. Hyper-local, organic produce, 1/2 orders & full orders, fruit often included. The stone fruit we had last summer was some of the best we ever tasted.
Mayfield Cafe has their own farm in Woodside & offers a CSA, pick up at their restaurant. I haven't used it, but I do enjoy their food.
These 2 are likely the most locally sourced CSAs, if that matters to you.
Collective Rots also has office hours & you can check out their office garden. Their flagship garden, at a local school, is impressive & they feature an outdoor oven & cooking classes as well as gardening classes.

Thanks for the suggestions - do you know if Collective Roots runs year round? I couldn't tell from their website.
