Benest's not allowing flags to half staff
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Jake, a resident of another community, on Aug 22, 2007 at 5:09 pm

When is the City Manager going to face the music on the flag issue. His people avoided the press while Frank was on vacation and now Frank is back.

He still has not commented as to why he dis-honored the firefighters who were killed by not allowing the flags to be flown half staff. The man does not get it plain and simple, look at all of the postings from around the Country,

Benest will probabky never have to face the music. Look at what happened to Emily Harrison--she was suspended for malfeasance which would probably get you and me fired, but the city council showered her with praise. Benest will probably get a big fat raise, a substantial bonus and then the city council will vote to sign over the deed to the house he is living in--the cost will be passed on to the taxpayers.

Then the city council will get back to important things--climate change, travelling out of town on the taxpayers dime, and congatulating each other on a job well done.
