That 6-point squeaker win against the "Lafayette Leopards" was an embarrassment for Stanford, no matter how they spin it. This was a home game against a weak 5-9 team with no height or rebounding, only three point shooters. Nevertheless, the Cardinal left them open time after time after time to hit treys. Roscoe Allen was quoted as saying that "This was a great win for us." Uh....Roscoe, when you pull out a win against a team like Lafayette that you should have beaten by 25-30 points it's not a "great win." But if you want to believe that it was, fine. By the way, Allen's play was perhaps the highlight of the win. He's long and plays hard. He just needs a shot he can reliably make other than a layup.
