Big Thank You to all the Volunteers helping to make Holiday Bouquets right now for our hospitalized vets!! You are welcome to join in!!
Around Town, posted by Carrie Manley, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Dec 16, 2012 at 10:38 am

Hi Beautiful Palo Alto Community!

Right now, the midtown floral shop, Nature's Alley, is filled with caring folks, who are busy making holiday bouquets for veterans at the Palo Alto VA Hospital--and you are welcome to join in the fun. Volunteers of all ages are participating, and there's no better place in Palo Alto right now to experience and enjoy the holiday spirit of giving. Thank you!!

From 10am to about 12:30pm today, volunteers are making bouquets, cookie gift bags and cards... and then more volunteers will be delivering the holiday tokens of friendship and appreciation to the VA's Spinal Cord Injury unit and the Hospice.

A huge thanks to Karen, the owner of Nature's Alley for her incredible generosity and community spirit. Also big, big thanks to La Biscotteria, the wonderful Italian bakery on El Camino Real in Redwood City, for donating literally hundreds of delicious, freshly baked biscotti!! Also, thanks to the many home bakers who also are delivering holiday goodies. And thanks, too, to Summer Winds Nursery for donating lots of greenery to this grassroots effort.

Most of all, thank you to our veterans.

Gotta get off the computer right now and get back to Nature's Alley!! Hope to see you there!!!
