Stop Light between Miki's and Starbuck's on Alma

Will this stoplight ever be synchronized with the one on Alma at Meadow?? As it stands, it causes huge backups of traffic at rush hour morning and evening. It has become really hard to get on Alma from a side street as a result.

It adds about 15-25 minutes to my commute each way, because the traffic is at a standstill or moves very slowly as cars stop for one light, then the other. Didn't any planning of traffic flow go into this?
