Fresh Choice gone? Around Town, posted by Healthier Faster Food please, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Dec 3, 2012 at 8:33 am
The Fresh Choice in San Antonio Center appears to have closed down?
My family of hungry teenagers will miss it and no doubt they will not eat as healthy when they eat out in future. The make up of Fresh Choice meant that they at least had a plate of salad before they ate some less healthier stuff too. Now they will eat more burritos, pizza and burgers as a result.
We need some more healthier options for families that is affordable and doesn't mean a long wait for food.

Really? Mtn Vw has already voted it down just over a month ago...under the guise of not wanting a new drive-through. Of course the council avoided discussing the real issue: the corporation's political choice on same-sex marriage.

Bad news. I still miss Fresh Choice in the Stanford location, and am sad to see it now go in Mountain View. We need more such healthy options, not burger joints.

Fresh Choice did it to themselves. Totally outclassed by restaurants like Sweet Tomatoes in MV. Same concept but cleaner, with better choices, and just not such a dive.

I agree its kind of a bummer. I always felt it was hit or miss. Some visits were good, some not so good. Here is a link to an article from some food-oriented website which indicates all Fresh Choice locations have closed.
I would be intrigued to see some kind of restaurant go in there. I would actually like some kind of family feedbag place. I get really tired of Hobees, and I'm not a huge fan of Chilis. Maybe Red Robin. A Mimi's Cafe could work too. Its a good time for something new with the shopping center construction progressing. It does have a decent sized lot, and pretty good location.
