A Nov. 6 decision to throw out murder charges against accused killer Gregory Elarms Sr. will be appealed in state court by the California Attorney General, San Mateo District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Tuesday.

So glad the attorney general's office is taking this on. Maybe now justice will be done.

It would have been instructive if the article had provided some detail as to why the State Attorney General's Office is now getting involved. Is the SMC DA conceeding that his office doesn't have the same qualiity of criminal prosecutors that the State AG's Office does?
This will be an interesting case to follow--now that it has become tangled in possible prosecutorial and police misconduct.
