The Omnishambles of Patraeus and Benghazigate Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by The wool is not being pulled over my eyes, a resident of the Palo Verde neighborhood, on Nov 13, 2012 at 8:53 am
I know the American press and in fact all media worldwide like sex scandals, but please stop looking at this as a sex scandal and start seeing it as a game of politics.

The wool ain't getting pulled over our eyes...
... but the tinfoil hat is slipping down some foreheads!!!!
The fringe is still hurting after their guarentee of a Rmoney landslide failed to happen. Birtherism won't work anymore. The tea party is dead, having personally handed the democrats 5 senate seats that should have been gop.
They got nothing, do trying to manufacture a new fast and spurious Lscandal" to pump up foxes ratings.

Poor Fox News. Totally had the wingnuts bubble burst with Fast and Furious, birth certificates, and finally, the one thing they can't lie about - the election results and the Obama mandate.
So they make up new conspiracy theories to keep the Fox sheeple wildly spinning off into the right wing alternate reality.

The omnishambles gets worse, and the press is lapping it up. Why aren't they investigating the 141% turnout in one precinct in Florida? Is it because there is no sex involved?
Sex scandals will always get the press coverage whereas real news gets ignored.
How will the press cover the Benghazi hearings? Sex will hit the headlines and Benghazi will be a footnote once again.
If this is really just about a sex scandal, why didn't it come out before the election?
Obama is as American as he wants to be, but his Islam roots may not be. I don't care about his birth certificate, but I do care about his worry about what feelings he has deep down in his heart (hint, so should you).

Wool says "Obama is as American as he wants to be, but his Islam roots may not be."
There we go, direct from Beck, Rush and the alternate reality set on Fox. They trained you well, Wool, and have that tin foil pulled directly down over your eyes.
No facts. Just a bunch of dumb Fox rhetoric, falsehoods and innuendo masked as "questions". McCarthy would have loved you.
Last Tuesday night must have really hurt.
There are a lot of websites that show your group when the moment hit. Web Link

"The wool is not being pulled over my eyes"
It doesn't have to be pulled; it's always been there.
Give in to reality. That Black Guy gets four more years in The White House. Period. And there won't be another Kevin Starr writing a porn piece fronted as an investigative report. [Portion removed by Palo Alto Online staff]

Wooly: If something stinks and starts looking like a fish, maybe because it is fishy.
Then go fishing.
Because you have no facts in your grand conspiracy. Your posts are indeed quite fishy.
You hate Obama, can't even bring your self to admit in an anonymous forum that he as an American, and are obviously bitter.
But the liberals in the great state of California and here in the Bay Area are glad to have you! You remind us of the strange types in the South that want to secede from America.
Did you vote for anyone at the state or national level that actually won on Tuesday? Anyone?

The Washington Post literally – and I mean literally – buries this detail in a profile of Jill Kelley – "a Tampa resident who poured her energies into throwing lavish parties for and hobnobbing with area military brass" – on its site today:
A military officer who is a former member of Petraeus’s staff said Kelley was a “self-appointed” go-between for Central Command officers with Lebanese and other Middle Eastern government officials.

I am accused of being upset by the election results - never mentioned any of that.
I am accused of being narrow minded and not reading newspapers - duh??
I have looked at the links proved above of pictures, fluff piece and crank ideas about secession. On the other hand, I have provided links to articles from CNN, ABC and the BBC, all questioning the events and mentioning the links to Benghazi and the hearings. Have any of you who are critical of me actually read my links? Do you realise how odd it sounds telling me to go fishing for facts and to read newspapers when that is exactly what I have been doing?
Why am I the one who is narrow minded when I am the one who has been open minded enough to read articles and find out what is being said, when all my critics are just calling me names? Perhaps attack is the only form of defence here, but the attacks on me are unfounded since I am the one with questions which the media is not answering. (or just beginning to).
If my critics would stop calling me names and start thinking straight, they may see my point.
I am the one who is searching for facts because I don't have any. If my critics can find some facts to show me by recognised news agencies (I don't mind if you use Fox or not) I will read them. Otherwise, my case is closed. (unless the media produces more news worthy of being discussed).
