RIP Ellen Fletcher
Around Town, posted by Sally, a resident of the Downtown North neighborhood, on Nov 8, 2012 at 11:55 am

Former Palo Alto city council member Ellen Fletcher passed away yesterday after a battle with cancer. Ellen was a long time advocate for safer pedestrian and bicycle routes in our city. I hope that the new Adobe Creek pedestrian/bicycle bridge can be named in her honor.

That would be a splendid idea! How can we go about making this happen?

I second the suggestion about naming the Adobe Creek in her honor

I met Ellen a year ago when she bought her Ridekick trailer. I was so moved by her being and her story, that I made it a point to visit with her whenever I was in the Bay Area. True inspiration!
