New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has gone on TV several days in a row to praise Obama's response to Hurricane Sandy. Obama could not have asked for a better endorsement than this, from the Republican presidential convention keynote speaker at that.
Is Christie intentionally trying to scuttle Romney, to give Christie a shot at the Republican presidential nomination in 2016? Christie vs. Hillary anyone?
Meanwhile, Romney's response to the hurricane is collecting canned goods?

Chris Chrisite can read polls, and knows it's an open seat in 2016 after Obama's second term.
If Christie loses 75 lbs by the midterms, he's running.

The resources from the federal government for New Jersey, if any, should be directed by Christie, not FEMA. Romney is right.
Christie is an emotional guy, and wears his feelings on his sleeve. He is a Huey Long type of politician, attracting the naive to his cause...a cult of peronality.

Governors are much closer to the ground, in their disaster areas. FEMA is notorious for fraud abuse. FEMA is also very caught up in red tape, and internal job creation. Christie, and other governors/mayors, are accountable to their consituents. FEMA is not.
Why should we be borrowing even more money from China to backfill infrstructure errors, as well as perpetuating them? Christie is much better positioned to know where the money and efforts should go.

Prove it. Just a bunch of right wing paranoia and fantasy.
If we block grant to states, what do the states do when they run out of money? There is a reaon for the Feds to be involved, and Americans fully support a FEMA style agency for emerrgency responses, rather than a Halliburton style rip off of American taxpayers.

You ARE living in a fantasy world! Chrisite knows he has to build on the shore. He has to rebuild the barrier islands, even in the face of Global Climate Change and rising sea levels.
The Feds should come in and stop the waste and abuse of governors kowtowing to their benefactors and the mob in Jersey.
This is Christies' test. Eliminate the waste and fraud in jersey and show he's ready for primetime. Good start by hugging Obama, next Tuesday's winner.

Wrong! Christie would be highly criticized by his own state citizens for favoring those who made stupid choices in the first place. FEMA, on the other hand, could care less...it is about throwing money and waste around, convenient for political cover in DC.
It is refreshing to hear Romeny on this subject. 'bout time!

I don't think there is any doubt about the corruption and mismanagement in FEMA when Michael Brown was in charge. He was forced out 2005 after the Katrina debacle and all signs are that FEMA is a highly efficient and competent organization today.
