Looking for small theater to rent
Around Town, posted by Jan, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Oct 29, 2012 at 11:29 pm

Does anyone know of a place available for rent on Friday or Saturday nights that can seat about 50 people?

I'm open to any kind of venue anywhere in Palo Alto. This is slated for family-friendly entertainment.

Thanks for your help!

All the schools have a theater.

School facilities are frequently rented to community groups like Chinese school and so forth. Maybe their theater. Not sure, probably not the more sophisticated ones like the high schools, but the Elementary schools have nice ones.

Lucy Stern, including - weather permitting - I think that space they have by the boy scout house is pretty cool.

Not to mention, all the churches, and synagogues. Everyone has a venue for family-friendly entertainment.

Check out the newly remodeled art center. They have a small auditorium in the back.

In my neighborhood, Castilleja has an auditorium. Paly and Gunn both have them, and Gunn has a theatre as well. First Presbyterian Church has a nice auditorium, too, and is very open to other groups renting it out.
