Jordan Student Arrested?? Schools & Kids, posted by Jim H., a resident of the Duveneck/St. Francis neighborhood, on Oct 16, 2012 at 4:22 pm
Anyone hear anything about a student at Jordan being taken away by the police today? I've heard rumors that a police car took a student away this afternoon.
Could be a fabrication, but just curious as usually the schools are pretty good about letting the community know when things like this happen.

I believe a student had emotional issues. The police were called, but the student mostly calmed down by the time officers arrived. The school probably didn't send out a notification since the incident wasn't criminal in nature.

My child saw at lunch time that a boy was having a tantrum and was crying loudly. An adult tried to calm him down. My child thought he might be handicapped because he was crying so loudly. I hope he is okay.

When my child was at Jordan, a classmate was arrested for selling pot to other students. There was no official notice sent out, and the student was back in class at Jordan the following week. Don't expect the school to be honest about anything like this, because they will claim that it's a privacy issue.

Mom - If a minor is arrested, it is a privacy issue. PAUSD very seldom sends out a notice unless its a true safety issue (like having a strange adult do something on campus).
