Thank goodness for the letter by Winter Dellenbach to save Buena Vista. All of us deserve protection against development driven by shear ambition to dump low income neighbors, and profit on disposessing them by cashing in on quick real estate flips.

And beyond the need to stand up for this neighborhood, we have the chance to stand up for the richness of diversity. Our city is socially and culturally impoverished when we encourage tear-downs and rezone for profit over people.

I urge the the city planning commission to hold strong against pressure from developers and firmly protect the integrity and neighborhood community of our friends and fellow Palo Altans of Vuena Vista.

Roland, no one could have said it better. Bravo!

Thank you Winter Dellenbach, for caring about those less financially fortunate and reminding the rest of us to sit up and take notice of the needs of our neighbors. I for one do not want to see our neighbors bull dozed under for more condos. I also believe we are a better city if we are a city of diverse citizens. I say no to rezoning Buena Vista Park.

If the trailer camp is eliminated, and even more housing is created, with some BMR units, that also has the benefit of sataisfying ABAG housing requirements...what is wrong with that?
