State Department admits it knew Libya attack was terrorism
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Jarred, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Oct 9, 2012 at 10:27 pm

Despite statements after the September 11 killings of four American diplomats that the attack was related to an incendiary anti-Muslim video, the State Department is now acknowledging that it suspected from the beginning that the ambush was pre-planned.

The latest news is that there wasn't actually ANY protest outside the consulate before the terrorist attack commenced:

Hmm, a bald-faced lie in attempting to cover up a terrorist attack against Americans. Say, maybe this Obama fellow is not the honest, transparent chap he's cracked up to be.

Before the attack on the consulate, the State Dept. concluded risk of violence was high:

However, the State Dept. went ahead and reduced the level of security at the consulate:

Obama seems much more concerned with defending Big Bird than protecting the lives of American diplomats. I guess if I were Obama, I'd also want to shift the discussion away from Benghazi, the $16 trillion national debt, the abject failure of green cronyism, Fast and Furious, and the solid majority of Americans who want Obamacare repealed.

As Obama said in 2008 "If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone to run from ... you make a big election about small things".

Romney flip flops on Syria, just like he has on Egypt and Libya. Look at how he dissed America's best ally, at the Olympics.

"Obama seems much more concerned with defending Big Bird than protecting the lives of American diplomats."

Inflammatory statement.

Pretty dumb statement and factually incorrect, just like Romney, too.

Obama inherited an economy losing 800,000 jobs a month, month over month Web Link

We have now had 28 months of private sector job growth, creating 4.5 million new jobs.

IT WAS ROMNEY THAT BROUGHT UP BIG BIRD, rather than talk about his budgets and real numbers during the debate.

Romney wants to cut the cost of PBS, 450M a year, which is equivalent to what it costs to run the pentagon for a FEW HOURS. Romney also wants to dramatically increase defense spending and give huge tax cuts to the millionaires and billionaires.

Romney will explode the deficit, or raise taxes on the middle class. He can't have it both ways. It's called math.

Romney = Bush/Cheney.

1-Big Bird=Obama

2-Killer Rabbit=Carter

3-The common symbols of one time failed precedences

we need a competent leadership like Romney/Ryan

Enough is enough

Hope is not a strategy

Romney brought up bib bird, not Obama, in order to hide his budget numbers.

Romney equals BUSH, on steroids.

correction

3-The common symbols of one-time failed presidents

Omaba has lost the women vote because he was so weak and pathetic in the debate-he has lost the trust of the electorate

He is toast - according to all the polls

All that is left is senseless bickering

Anne and Biff Romney were complaining about the direction of the campaign and forced it towards the middle, according to Politico today. It explains the flipflops and lies during the debate. Guess we know who wears the pants. Either Anne or Tigg.

If Obama has "lost" women, post links to 3 polls showingg it.

Sharon lies about polls, never posts links to support her falsehoods.

Romney told us he hates Big Bird. Elmo wants to tickle him.... not.

When will the real Romney show up?

If this country is to stay as "leader of the free world" then its population must start looking at foreign affairs as the most crucial aspect in this election. It is time to stop ignoring what is going on elsewhere and start paying attention to the rest of the world. Domestic issues may be important, but in a global economy and middle east unrest, taking no notice of potential terrorism, crisis and whatever, is not doing the safety of any of us any favors.

In 2008, Obama promised to get Bin Ladin when Romney said he wouldn't go after him in Pakistan. Ask Bin Ladin about Big Bird. No wonder Romney brought up Big Bird to hide his flip flops and Bush like policies

re: "we need a competent leadership like Romney/Ryan"

Huh?

What has Romney ever shown in the way of competent public leadership? (besides insult our strongest international friend multiple times in a single day in July.) Romney is a failed one term governor of a state that will vote against him by a margin of 2-1. The people who know Romney best are overwhelmingly REJECTING ROMNEY.

I have to agree with posters who have looked at Romney's policies and see the facts....

Romney policies = Bush policies

The people who know Romney best are overwhelmingly REJECTING ROMNEY by a 2-1 margin.

Does anyone really believe the official government statements anymore?
