Movies, posted by Nat, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Aug 6, 2007 at 1:23 pm

I just saw this movie yesterday in Menlo Park. The reviews did not lead me to expect much, but I found this movie charming. I enjoyed it.

Anyone else see it?

It was pretty good, but at times a bit inconsistent regarding the depiction of the characters and maybe a touch sappy. Still, much more enjoyable than your typical American blockbuster and worth seeing. Try renting "The Closet", which is another French farce and features the same actor. And "Paris, je t'aime", which was playing at the Aquarius, is a set of 18 short films about Paris, and overall is very good. I especially liked Alexander Payne's ("Sideways", "Election") "14th Arrondissement".
