Paly/Gunn game could be channel 2 game of the week Sports, posted by KTVU watcher, a member of the Palo Alto High School community, on Sep 17, 2012 at 11:14 am
Channel 2 has selected our cross town rivalry high school football game to be a contender for the high school game of the week. To get this happen, we need to vote. Here is a link to the page. Scroll down to the bottom and click on our game (right hand side of the listed games). When you have clicked on the game, then click on the save vote button. The number should increase by one vote. Within a minute, you should be able to vote again. To do this, click back on the save vote button and then the vote option should appear back on the Gunn/Paly game. Do this as often as you can before Thursday 6.00 pm. Watch the number of votes go up!

If anyone has time to kill, votes are accepted every minute from the same computer. So someone can actually vote nearly 60 times in one hour. Our kids have too much homework to do that though. Hello, parents?

We are at present in the lead. It is going to take a lot more than 2 of us to do this. (I have no idea how many are doing it but if you are doing it, tell us here).

@KTVU watcher: Ha! I'm a stay-at-home mom. Will chip away at it when I can. I will also post to my Facebook Paly '82 reunion page which has over 300 members. And post it on the Gunn '82 Reunion page too. We all have good memories of the Paly/Gunn games.

Thanks to all who are taking part, yes we are doing very well but I see that Freedom/Castro Valley are beginning to increase their votes, so please do not let up.
Yes, I know it is only highlights, but I think that just knowing the tv station is there and perhaps the chance of meeting some of the tv sports guys is exciting for both the players and also the fans.

Ha! I was just going to post about Freedom v. Castro Valley. They have someone sitting there, casting votes because they came out of nowhere. Been watching the last couple of hours. We are not out of the woods until the deadline.

It seems Milpitas/SJ have groups casting votes because their votes are increasing at about 15 per few minutes. Unless they placed a bot, but not sure it's possible with having to press SAVE and then refresh and scroll.

If you really want to win, let them think they are winning. Then on Thursday at Noon, have Paly admin send out the link to the parents and students asking them to vote 3 times. The other teams won't have a chance to catch up because the voting ends at 6PM, Thursday.
But really, Palo Altans don't need their 2 minutes of fame on TV sports news. They find their way to the media by accomplishing more than sitting at a computer, voting all day long.

I placed the link in the Paly eNews to parents which was sent today. Milpitas has too many people working on their votes, however. They start after school and into the night. Not worth my time anymore for the few minutes on TV.
