Laurene Powell Jobs joins Stanford Board of Trustees

Palo Alto resident and education reform leader Laurene Powell Jobs has been elected to the Stanford University Board of Trustees, the university announced today. Powell Jobs, who earned a Stanford MBA in 1991, will begin a five-year Stanford board term Oct. 1.

As Laurene is a graduate of Stanford GSB.

The appointment is very appropriate

The fact that she is extremely rich helps-- of course.

I think it's wonderful that Mrs. Jobs is giving so much of her time to the community at a time that must still be very difficult in her family's life.
