CHP Officer critically wounded

A CHP Officer was critically wounded this morning after being shot by a suspect on 680, about 40 miles from PA. Another CHP officer was able to return fire and kill the suspect. The unpredictability of their work makes it very dangerous, even in safe little towns like San Ramon. My thoughts and prayers go out to the officers and their families.
