Obama indecisive on the attack on OBL, cavint to Valerie Jarrett
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Dave, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Aug 22, 2012 at 8:42 pm

The White House has not commented on the book, but one commenter wrote: Obamas gutsy call would seem to be limited to having finally found the guts to overrule Valerie Jarrett.

Is Obama afraid to confront women?

Yep, that seems the most likely scenario - Obama is just afraid to confront women.

The poor, woeful losers who have to invent some weird, paranoid fantasy to justify that Barack Obama is the President of the United States of America.

They are going to get just stranger and stranger as they realize that Mitt Romney is losing so badly in the projected electoral college vote count -- look at any of the aggregate poll sites for the swing states.

Bin Ladin is dead and GM is alive.

Yo, Dave -- do you think that President Obama is an American, a true American?

So, Dave, do you have something against women?? Do you have something against women in positions of power? Please, let us know.

And the author of this books is who?? Someone named Richard Miniter??? And he is????? I did not realize he was involved in the OBL discussions.

Of course some people have a different view about this Miniter fellos:

Of course Miniter has a history of making erroneous allagtions and using sources who's veracity is questionable. But anything to make a dollar.

BTW, what part did Romney, his sons, and Paul Ryan play in getting OBL?? Between them they have served how many days in the military???

Amazing that some people are upset that Obama got OBL, but are okay with the fact that the republicans let him get away. Could it be that attacking a democratic president is more important than catching OBL??? I guess the republicans are sorry that OBL is not still out there.

Get over your nonsense here ... this is just another facet in the nonsensical holographic attacks that Republicans are planting everywhere.

Obama, afraid to confront women? Of course none of your Republicans watched the many debates between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And why is it so important to "confront" ... why not just doing a competent job?

This is the shotgun kitchen sink method of throwing so much nonsense out there people who are not really paying attention are supposed to think there is something to it.

I think the Republicans fear of dealing with reality is a bit more on point and important.

At the risk of being the Godwin winner, we all know where the Republicans got their Big Lie strategy.

FDR nailed them on it in 1944, in his famous Fala speech:

"The opposition <the republicans> in this year has already imported into this campaign a very interesting thing, because it is foreign. They have imported the propaganda technique invented by the dictators abroad. Remember, a number of years ago, there was a book, Mein Kampf, written by Hitler himself. The technique was all set out in Hitler's book - and it was copied by the aggressors of Italy and Japan. According to that technique, you should never use a small falsehood; always a big one, for its very fantastic nature would make it more credible - if only you keep repeating it over and over and over again.

Well, let us take some simple illustrations that come to mind. For example, although I rubbed my eyes when I read it, we have been told that it was not a Republican depression, but a Democratic depression from which this Nation was saved in 1933 - that this Administration this one today - is responsible for all the suffering and misery that the history books and the American people have always thought had been brought about during the twelve ill-fated years when the Republican party was in power.

Now, there is an old and somewhat lugubrious adage which says: "Never speak of rope in the house of a man who has been hanged." In the same way, if I were a Republican leader speaking to a mixed audience, the last word in the whole dictionary that I think I would use is that word 'depression.' "

FDR nailed it, but the Gee Oh Pee still uses the Big Lie today.

Amazing, isn't it? Look at all the discredited Romney TV ads, earning '4 pinocchios' and numerous 'pants on fire' ratings.

Dave now says that minister may not be right. Sounds likel he is backtracking. He started this thread making it sound like minister was speaking the gospel truth. Is minister tied to the enemies of America? Sounds like it.

That should be miniter, not minister ( unless miniter is a minister in al Qaida)

so Dave has issues with women. But the republicans in general want women back in the kitchen. Amusing how low the republicans have sunk that they are now attacking Obama for not ” standing up to women”!!
