Mountain View man makes 600th blood donation

A 75-year-old Mountain View man hit a personal milestone when he made his 600th blood donation at the Stanford Blood Center Monday afternoon.

You don't even have to have lived in a country where Mad Cow disease has been reported to be unable to donate here. It depends on the amount of time you have spent there in total. I visited England and spent just enough time there, in the years that are restricted, to be on the list of people who cannot donate. I used to donate 12 times a year.

This man deserves the moon. I have donated blood twice, and it took me two weeks to recover both times! To go through that misery 600 times , to help people he will never see, deserves a lot more than congratulations!!!!
