NASA Ames scientist to analyze data sent back from Mars

Thousands of people gathered at the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field Sunday night, Aug. 5, to watch the historic landing of the Mars rover Curiosity on the mysterious red planet. Related story:

The pictures from Mars were live. Some of the programming of the Olympics is eight hours old!

By the way, how many of the local papers carried any information about this free event, so that more of us could go?

Joe, the Merc did have an article about this which included the invitation to the public. It was either in the paper that day or the day before.
