The headline should be the reason that the burglaries are happening, not that there's an increase. The increase follows the reason, duh. Lock up your stuff, people! I just discovered that a friend in PA hills has been routinely leaving a door unlocked. Yeah, like you want to walk in on a burglary in progress at your home where neighbors aren't that close. Scary.

I just can't believe people don't lock their doors. I grew up locking our doors even in the 70s.
I am grateful for law enforcement and firemen. They are here when we need them. They are risking their lives for us. It's disrespectful to insult them and those who do are too cowardly to switch jobs with them.

People should lock their doors
Police are important and should be respected.
That said, there is clearly something wrong with how PAPD is being run. What is the police chief's plan? They don't need more budget they need better management.
