Palo Alto police arrest man in 'window smash' burglaries

Palo Alto police have arrested a man who allegedly stole purses, bags and small electronic items from cars in Palo Alto and other Bay Area cities. Reynaldo Gomez, 48, of Los Gatos, was arrested Thursday outside a San Jose courthouse.

One would think that by the age of 48 someone would know right from wrong?

That this guy is 48 makes me wonder if age should be a criterion for increasing a sentence. If youth and immaturity is the basis for leniency, why not look at someone like this and realize that he is or will be a perpetual menace to society?

wow looks like he is experienced, at that age...not sophisticated in his criminality, but 48!!! years of age?!

I'll be more careful in gym parking lots now. My valuables were stolen via a window smash in a church parking lot once.

I think his personal motto should at least add 10 more years to any sentence if found guilty.
