is Romney a WIMP?
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by wimp, a resident of the Adobe-Meadows neighborhood, on Jul 29, 2012 at 12:11 pm

The cover of this week's Newsweek magazine says "Romney: The Wimp Factor, Is he just too insecure to be president?".

Is that a fair assessment? Or just kicking him while he is down after his European vacation fiasco?

Invalid question. Don't care if Romney is a wimp.

Don't care if he is gaffe prone enough for our strongest ally, the British to ask - “Do we have a new Dubya on our hands?”

Don't care if he had to apologize to the Brits for the dumb statements he made.

I do care that his policies are the same as bush's policies. He wants to destroy our country in the same way Bush did - more tax cuts for the wealthy, tax cuts for corporations,

vastly increased spending for defense, all of which will be paid for with borrowed money ala' Bush, driving the deficit far beyond it's current level.

Add the Bush policies of repealing protections to keep Wall St in line, an aggressive Bush team of foreign policy advisers that love wars and Romney equals disaster for America.

Romney = Bush. That scares any thinking person.

"Newsweek magazine "

That says it all. Amost nobody reads that rag, anymore.

Romney needs to man up:

- fire the Bushies on his team - ALL OF THEM

- tell America what he will do differently than Bush

Promise to go back to the balanced budgets and budget surpluses that Clinton gave Bush...

... AND IMPLEMENT THEM!

Man up, Mitt.

Until then, I will never vote Republican again.

>budget surpluses that Clinton gave Bush

Clinton got lucky, due to the dot.com boom and all those Wall Street bonuses, which were taxed as income. Clinton also got impeached for lying under oath. Clinton handed off a recession to Bush.

The fundamental structures of the USA economy are not good. Taxing the rich will only make it worse.
