Lasers pointed at planes, coming from Palo Alto?

It seems that this is causing a stir at SFO, but not in Palo Alto. Perhaps those who are complaining about the noise are taking matters into their own hands!! I doubt it, but it is something that should concern those of us who live here. I don't like to see this type of bad publicity for Palo Alto.

"I don't like to see this type of bad publicity for Palo Alto." There's nothing you can do about it. I don't like to read that people on planes are being endangered by those near or in Palo Alto. Hopefully, the idiots will stop this behavior.

Agreed.

I don't like it at all, particularly since we have planes flying over us all the time. The fact that it is coming from our vicinity makes it even worse.

I also hope the idiots stop.

Feds need to use helicopters to catch the perps, then charge them with attempted mass murder. Lack of enforcement is just encouraging the punks.

News reports on July 5th specifically mentioned Palo Alto and strobe light coming from the Dumbarton Bridge area. That area is in East Palo Alto, but news organizations frequently get names wrong. From a plane at night, it's hard to know the boundaries.

I think the Dumbarton Bridge is in Menlo Park, not East Palo Alto. EPA haters frequently forget that much Menlo Park has much more shoreline than EPA.

Yep. Dumbarton is Menlo on this side. We don't know the specific location that this is coming from. There are places there that the public can't access. It could be from a boat on the bay? Someone driving near the bridge? Someone prowling around by the Book of the Face or an EPA neighborhood or Menlo Business Park?
