I would love to see a story on what the Water District does, how it operates, and how its decisions affect our lives.

Like theh VTA, and several other bureaucracies, the ruling boards have openings - but where are they advertised.

Water is going to be a HUGE issue within the next decade, yet we have not once had a reporton the "state of our water" from any local who has sat on the board.

I agree that would be an interesting story.

Palo Alto's water comes from Hetchhetchy via the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, plenty of issues there.

But Santa Clara Valley Water District, which includes Palo Alto, is important to Palo Altans primarily for flood control and is very involved in decisions about San Francisquito Creek.

It's on my list of things to do.

Thanks.
