Cyclist dies after crash on Kings Mountain Road

Medics from the Kings Mountain Fire Department tended to a 50-year-old man who suffered a heart attack on the scene and died after crashing his bicycle in the 2000 block of Kings Mountain Road around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1.

Very possible that he suffered the heart attack while riding his bicycle and then fell, not the reverse as the article implies. 50 years is not that old, but still in the range where discussing your fitness activities with your doctor is a very good idea. He or she may suggest some stress tests or educate you on warning signs of heart trouble.

RIP to this man and my condolences to his family and friends.
