Accordion music plays on speakers as eight swimmers from the Santa Clara Aquamaids Synchronized Swimming Club simultaneously mime with their hands while treading water, hold their legs in the air with heads submerged and lift teammates skyward — all while trying to hold a smile.

Read this article with interest and was hoping that there would be a follow up this week with news on how they did?

Are there any chance any of them are Olympic bound?

These are younger girls than would be competing in the olympics, there are just 2 US girls competing in the Olympics in Syncro this year.

As an update the Circus team won silver and the Irish team won bronze for age group nationals out of 47 teams. These girls will be the future for US Synchro and are working towards spots for the 2020 Olympics.
