Obamacare stands. Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Perspective, a resident of the Greater Miranda neighborhood, on Jun 28, 2012 at 8:06 am
We have just entered another historic first for our nation. Individuals can now be told what products they MUST buy,and producers can be told what products they MUST produce. States can be told what they MUST pay for and what services they MUST provide. The power of the central government has reached back full circle, we have lost our individual liberties.
Next, we will be told what house we MUST buy, what car we MUST buy, what food we MUST buy, what the farmer MUST produce, that the States MUST ..
You get the idea. The slippery slope we have warned about for years is now at the bottom. The camel's nose was under the tent for years, the tent is tossed over.
If you like this, congratulations. If you don't, vote out every Democrat in November, 2012.

Not a big win for the Constitution, but a big win for Obama/Democrats/Socialists. Congratulations. The younger generation will spit on this one for enslaving them.
Heritage Foundation ( not Society) did not create the mandate, they created INCENTIVES, which is what a free people are happy with. But, enslaved people are happy with being told what they must buy and what they must produce.
Thank this generation for enslaving the next.
Well done!
Won't even bother trying to explain to you what is Repeal and Replace.

"Heritage Foundation ( not Society) did not create the mandate"
Wrong. Mitt Rmoney said Heritage invented the mandate when he was debating Newt (also in favor of mandates a couple years ago) during the primaries.
Perspective won't bother, or *cannot* explain the replace part of repeal and replace? The GOP has no replacement other than the GOP Heritage RomneyCare plan that they all supported a couple years ago.
The only other possibility is the far right Ryan plan to take seniors off Medicare and give them vouchers and coupons to buy insurance.
Perspective: how are you feeling about John Roberts, George Bush and RomneyCare about now?
God bless the United States Constitution. It survived the judicial activism of the 4 dissenters.

Why stop at Obamacare? This country hasn't been worth a twit since the socialist Roosevelt got in and destroy the free market system! And then Johnson and that Medicare! What is this - Russia?? Roll back the New Deal, social security, medicare, the SEC, the FDIC, labor protections - heck, we should even look at rolling back the weekend!
We've been on a slippery slope for too long! Time to go back to the good old 1920s!

"Democrats like John Roberts? Wasn't he a Bush appointee?"
Yes on both counts. Roberts is a deep-cover liberal Democrat who was put on the SCOTUS as a sleeper mole and activated for this case. That's why the Democrats in the Senate confirmed him so readily. Didn't anybody else notice?
