Local golfer advances in junior girls' state competition

Menlo-Atherton student Xin Fang of Menlo Park reached the semifinals in the championship flight of the California Junior Girls State Championships on Wednesday at the Dunes Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach.

Xin Fang was also co-medalist with a one over par 74 in the opening round for match play flight and seeding.
