Fast And Furious conspiracy theory finally peters out with fake contempt vote
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Rich Alto, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Jun 27, 2012 at 9:02 pm

For a year, every day, Fox news has worked with the Republican Party on a conspiracy theory with made up stories about Obama wanting to take away guns by giving criminals guns to take to Mexico - "Very clearly, they've made a crisis and they're using this crisis to somehow take away or limit people's second amendment rights," Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Cali.) said on "Hannity" tonight."

Over the last month, the Republicans have tried to mainstream the conspiracy theory, taking it so far as having a vote on contempt tomorrow, against the attorney general. Sadly, the Republicans should have kept preaching to the sheep that view Fox, as real news agencies are discovering there IS NO SCANDAL.

Darryl Issa, the committee chairperson, has admitted he doesn't have any evidence, but still believes that it is a conspiracy by Obama to take away second amendment rights - on Fox News Sunday: "Issa was asked whether he had evidence of a White House cover-up. "No, we don't," Issa said."

As foolish as this sounds, it's all crazier than that. You have to steel yourself and watch Fox once in awhile to understand what kind of crazy they are indoctrinating their viewers with.

Colbert said it best.

COLBERT: Yes, very clearly, Obama started this gun tracking program in 2006, when he hypnotized George Bush. Then he secretly ordered Attorney General Holder to order the Justice Department, to order the ATF to order gun shops to sell guns to Mexican drug cartels, and then lose track of them, thereby panicking Americans to gin up support for the draconian gun control measures that Obama has never introduced.

"Today, Congress founder Holder in contempt"

Colbert: "Shocking, Congress found someone who doesn't already hold Congress in contempt." Web Link

The Fox story of 2,000 guns going from the ATF to Mexican gangs is wrong.

The Fox story of "millions of dollars" of guns going from the ATF to Mexico is wrong.

The posters who referred to this under other threads, about this fantasy theory are being proved to be just more Fox flunkies.

This was the congress that said they would work on jobs. How many jobs are being created with the vote on the Attorney General tomorrow?

Please all your congress person and demand they work on JOBS.

Here come the haters..... ;-)

The ATF agents worked hard to stop the guns. Their agency is always facing budget cuts from NRA supported politicians.

The agents tried to get prosecutors to allow arrests of gun purchasers who then resold guns to gangs. Prosecutors were hamstrung by Arizona laws which allowpurchasers to immediately resell guns.

The scandal is todays gun laws.

And, of course, Fox.

And the GOP's submission to the NRA.

I'll happily post links with evidence. I dare the wingnuts who think fast and furious really sent ATF weapons to Mexico post their evidence as well.

They won't.

Fast and Furious was a silly movie, just like this gun story.

Stupid, partisan vote today, with the NRA announcing it will score the vote.

Won't go anywhere, doesn't mean anything, will be drowned out in fiveminutes with the decision on RomneyObamaCare.

Okey-dokie, the Contemptible Congress just voted contempt against a man who appeared 9 times and turned over 7,000 documents. Stupid, childish, useless, partisan vote, and now it's done with.

Now, can they get back to work and work on creating jobs?

Nope, they're going to take ANOTHER week off. When they get back from another vacation, they're going to vote again on settled law, the constitutionally approved Affordable Care Act that will provide healthcare for 35 million Americans. Truly the do-nothing congress, except vote on abortion.
