Are you thinking of running for PAUSD School Board?
Schools & Kids, posted by Mom, a resident of the Old Palo Alto neighborhood, on Jun 19, 2012 at 10:34 am

Are you thinking of running for PAUSD School Board on November 6, 2012?

If so, you may want to attend the Candidate School offered by the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters on July 14, 2012 from 10 am to noon. All of the information is available on their website, but here are the brief details:

"Come and learn about candidate nomination documents, candidate statement format and guidelines, voting by mail, Registrar of Voters' services and what to expect on Election Day".

I think the candidate school should cover more than the election process. The problem isn't so much about how to get elected as it is about how to perform in the role as an elected official. Reading the recently released emails from the school board was alarming.
