Stepping back in time

What entices people to gather the second Friday of the month in Palo Alto to do English Regency dances? There's the nimble elegance of the steps, of course. But let's not forget the math. On one level, says Alan Winston, these dances are all about geometry.

English Country Dance is fun and not stuffy. I've been to Allan's dances and the ones on odd Fridays in Palo Alto. Only the tradition of flirting and the heat dancers create are left our of the article. Dress for a hot night, wear comfortable shoes and try English Country Dancing.

Thank you so much for posting this video clip with the article. It's reminded me of what fun English country dancing is--Good people, great music and lots of laughs and good fun! I'm inspired to go find our local English dances. ( Web Link )

Nice to see some old friends. :) I now live too far away to attend BAERS events, and I miss 'em. If you live within skipping distance, take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to dance and meet cool people.
