I don't find this speech inspirational at all. It's preachy and a downer. We want our children to go out into the world thinking they can make an impact, not jaded by the thought of being a nobody who can't change the world.

Socialist/Buddhist speech. Capitalism is what makes America great. I felt like sh*t after reading this speech. Would hate to have him as a father! Wonder how his kids turned out!

There has to be a balance and a touch of reality in what is said to our students.

Here's what one Gunn graduate has said and the comments related to it. It is worth getting our students to hear this.

I don't know this man at all (just his Dad, of course) and I wonder at the motivation. He professed surprise at all the attention on him on CBS' morning tv chat show, but I wonder...
I feel it would really help to evaluate the speech if one really knew this man.
