Dear Editor,
Why are there boys team's SCVAL All League reporting, but not for the girls teams? When the article says they 'were not submitted'. Submitted to whom? From whom? Who is it that we need to contact to get the girls All League teams reported? I think the girl also deserve to be recognized by having their names reported in the paper. Thanks for your recommendation on who at SCVAL we need to contact, if you are not able to get this info.

The coaches and athletic directors can provide the all-league teams, but often they don't. Coaches usually attend the all-league meetings and, at worse, should have their own all-league selections -- which most don't submit for publication. The SCVAL, as a league, does not compile all-league teams like the PAL and WBAL, who post them on their web sites and submit them. The Athletic Directors of the missing all-league teams were contacted but did not respond. There is a league rep for each sport and the coaches and ADs know who there are and how to get these teams. For some reason, the same all-league teams fall through the cracks each year. If the Athletic Directors would instruct their coaches to make sure to obtain their respective all-league teams for publication, this would not be a problem.
