Gunn student's t car vandalized, antisemitic statement keyed
Schools & Kids, posted by village fool, a resident of another community, on May 30, 2012 at 12:06 am

Editor- you removed my posting here - I copied report about current Gunn student car vandalized. Report by Sue Drenman about what seems to be antisemitic hate crime can be found under crimes & incidents:

Web Link

Apparently, report about hate crime against current Gunn student does not belong to schools/kids while report about former Gunn student found guilty in a shooting clearly not related to Gunn high was posted under schools&kids.

I do not understand.

Village Fool,

The topic category ("schools and kids", "crimes and incidents", etc.) that a discussion thread is assigned is determined by the first person to make a comment on a story, or the person who posts a new topic. It has no consequence other than how it is organized in our system. Most people don't go to a category and only read the discussions in that category, they follow all threads and comments.

Your most recent posting was removed because it simply re-posted a story and comments that were already on Town Square but assigned it a different topic category. That ends up confusing people since there then end up with two discussion threads on the same topic.

Hope that makes it clear. Please feel free to contact me directly at bjohnson@paweekly.com if you have further questions or concerns.
