Don't understand why Seale Park Restrooms were locked on Memorial Day
Around Town, posted by PA Mom, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on May 29, 2012 at 11:35 pm

Looking forward to spending a nice Memorial Day afternoon at Seale Park, a group of friends and I met there at 4p. We planned on using the provided grills to make dinner and stay into the early evening. Imagine our surprise when one of the gals needed to use the restroom and reported back that they were locked!?! I would think that the Palo Alto Parks commission must realize that Memorial Day is one of the "Great Picnic Days" of the year! Just wondering why on earth, these new bathrooms, that our tax dollars recently paid for, were locked on Memorial Day ...

The locked restrooms are a casualty of the current economic in Palo Alto and that the parks staff does not work on holidays. No staff mean no unlocked restrooms. Complain directly to the parks and rec commission rather than expecting them to read this on the message board.
