Meg fires 27,000 HP employees, stock price soars
Around Town, posted by meg, a resident of the College Terrace neighborhood, on May 23, 2012 at 2:01 pm

One percenters are rewarding Meg for firing 27,000 employees. Stock price is up 10% on the news.

The American jobs will be mostly replaced by lower priced foreigners.

Meg cares. Talk to Meg. She came to California because it was a great state to live in and raise a family.

Love the sign with Meg - "Jobs are on the Way"

Talk to Meg.

meg cares - I think that you're wrong - the rest of that sign is simply not in view. I believe it read "Jobs Are On The Way Out".

Such hooey in the above posts.

The announcement states that all businesses and all regions will be affected. Further, the jobs will not be replaced.

Reading comprehension anyone?

There's nothing wrong w/my reading comprehension, CP Dad. It remains to be seen if the jobs are recreated w/lower paid staff - we just don't know what'll happen w/HP as yet.

1% eers?? HAHAHHAHAHA..Honestly, do you really think that is all who has stock, are 1%ers?? Honestly, really and truly, the level of economic literacy is appalling sometimes.
