NCAA singles, doubles set to open

Stanford rowing alums David Banks ('05) and Jake Cornelius ('05) were part of the men's U.S. Eight that captured a four-second victory over New Zealand Tuesday at the Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland, claiming a spot in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Nice to see the two Stanford alums make the U.S. Olympic Team...a lot of credit , in addition to their efforts, their coaches and the Stanford Athletic Dept should go to Cliff and Helen Burnhill, Stanford '29/'32 Law for the generous gifts they made upon their deaths 11 years ago that provided the spark to funding for the Men and Woemen's Crew Program....Thx Cliff and Helen, Chris Burford '60
