Schools & Kids, posted by Editor, Palo Alto Online, on May 22, 2012 at 9:38 pm

Three teens on a Palo Alto street with spray paint during school hours might seem like a recipe for delinquency, but ninth-graders Jeremy Revlock, Ben Rothblatt and Yerem Istanboulian were tagging for the community Tuesday morning.

Thanks for the great article. On Ashton Avenue & Ashton Court our student trio -- Anand, Jake and Rick -- did a great job, painting 19 house numbers. It was a wonderful day, and the neighbors all extend thanks to the students.

Yes and Ashton Avenue and Ashton court look GREAT. They did a great job. It was very noticeable as you drove down the street the work they did.

Unfortunately the days of having a newspaper route are long gone. Nothing like a hundred Palo Alto Times customers to instill a sense of responsibility and value at an impressionable age.

Many thanks to ALL the students who participated in Paly Service Day 2012! There were 196 students on field trips serving 17 local agencies, and another 300+ students serving 13 additional agencies on campus during lunch and the tutorial period. Our students have documented more than 125,000 hours of community engagement since we started tracking data 4 years ago. Get Involved, Paly!

Stop stealing jobs! I remember that Veterans who had trouble finding work used to get PAID to do this. Stop stealing jobs from those who serve(d) our country patriotically!

Go pick up trash off 101 or something like that.

Job Stealers, you can't be serious! These kids perform a wonderful community service and you acuse them of stealing jobs?

I am very thankful for the service the kids provided.
