Seeking single moms for story
Schools & Kids, posted by Carol Blitzer, assoc. ed., PAW, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on May 22, 2012 at 2:50 pm

I'm interested in pursuing a story for the Palo Alto Weekly about women in their late 30s, early 40s, choosing to have a baby without a mate -- in other words, having a baby while they still can, without waiting indefinitely for Mr. Right. I'd like to interview them about the issues of seeking support (through Mom groups?), logistics of raising a child alone, perhaps difficulties in getting pregnant because of age, etc. They would need to live in Palo Alto, or very nearby. You can contact me at cblitzer@paweekly.com.

Will you also interview mothers of teenage boys who go wild agaisnt their moms, and kick it into hypergear, looking for a male leader/big brother/father figure? There is major wreakage out there. Daughters are also at risk, big time.

[Portion removed by Palo Alto Online staff due to disrespectful comment or offensive language.} Do you even know the teenagers who are 'created' without a father? The fact that you and others cannot meet "Mr. Right" is no excuse to expiate your angst on the backs of kids. Just don't have kids. Move on with your lives. There is no such thing as "Mr. Right".
