Palo Alto girls' team places first in LEGO robotics competition

A team of eighth-grade Palo Alto girls placed first among 65 teams Sunday in the First LEGO League robotics competition at Legoland in Carlsbad. The girls are students at JLS and Jordan middle schools as well as Girls Middle School.

Congratulations Palo Alto Androids!

I was often the only female in my engineering classes at college (many decades ago) and I am so pleased to see more girls interested in technical subjects these days.
