Woman pleads not guilty in fatal stabbing

A woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend at their home in East Palo Alto last month pleaded not guilty to murder charges Thursday, prosecutors said.

"Accidentally?"

How do you "accidentally" stab and kill your boyfriend?

This is interesting because she actually called 9-1-1 on his behalf. Perhaps she meant to just "stab" the guy rather than actually kill him.

I suspect that this case will result in a plea deal for Manslaughter or Negligent Homicide. It is unfortunate, because the woman might get away with a killing with nothing more than a few years in prison.
