Sheriff Joe Arpaio says Obama's birth certificate is a fraud
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Joe Palm, a resident of the Palo Alto Orchards neighborhood, on Mar 1, 2012 at 1:30 pm

Joe Arpaio, an American hero, finds proof of a massive fraud.

"Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says there are indications of fraud regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate and selective service card.

Arpaio said at a 1 p.m. news conference that there is "probable cause to believe forgery and fraud occurred."

Arpaio scheduled the news conference Thursday to unveil preliminary results of an investigation, conducted by members of his volunteer cold-case posse, into the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, a controversy that has been widely debunked but which remains alive in the eyes of some conservatives.

Mike Zullo, lead investigator with the department's cold case posse presented detailed evidence backing up the sheriff's claim.

"We do not have a single document that proves Mr. Obama's birth in Hawaii or anywhere in the United States for that matter," Zullo said. "The document is fake, the representation is fake."

We need to do something.

Thank you, Sheriff Arpaio, for standing up for America and conservatives everywhere.

For a city that's so liberal, it's really amazing how many unhinged right-wingers post on here. Sure, it's one thing to be conservative, but posts like these and others are of the hysterical, deranged variety. I'm surprised people like that could even stand to live in a place like this. Who knows, maybe they're people who've lived here for decades, maybe they don't really live here and are posting randomly on various sites.

Palo Alto a liberal community, now that's funny! Some rich folks in north Palo Alto have Obama over for dinner, donate some of their pocket change and all of sudden we're a hotbed of liberalism. If anything, Obama is a little to right of Ronald Regan.

I thought the crap posted on Palo Alto Online by Peter Carpenter was bad. Boy, has this board gone to hell in a hurry.

Sheriff Arpaio, the Orly Taitz of law enforcement - a co-chair of Mitt Romney's campaign

Shameful, Mitt, really shameful.

First, Mitt hangs with Birther Trump, now with weird Joe the sheriff.

Pretty low.

Obama's birth certificate is from Hawaii. Those islands cannot possibly be part of the USA because so many non-white people live there. Only white-majority areas are allowed to be in the USA.

Well, it may be false that the documents were forged, but it isn't hysterical to want to look at it. It is, however, hysterical to scream, "Stop! Stop! Don't even think about it! Don't look into it! Stop right now! Not another word!"

Just systematically explore the thing. It does strike me as suspicious that the correct document was only released after its key signatory died. It would have been a non issue if the correct document were released from the beginning with a bunch of people around remembering and attesting to things.

Something as important as this should be allowed to proceed steadily and thoroughly and at low cost. That would not be a distraction to anyone clean.

Throw away axes - You are correct, sir. We need to see Romney's too. Put it to the same tests as the good Sheriff is doing to obamas. I am a little concerned with how they do things in Utah.

He ain't right, if you get my drift.

Tea Party says Obama's birth certificate is suspect because he is mixed race. Weren't mixed race marriages illegal back then? That makes him illegal, too. Romney doesn't need a birth certificate because he is white.
