Your Santa Clara Water District Tax Dollars at Work Palo Alto Issues, posted by JW, a resident of the Charleston Gardens neighborhood, on Jul 10, 2007 at 1:28 pm
Residents in South Palo Alto will notice that Adobe Creek is being cleaned out by the Water District. I had an opportunity to talk with a Supervisor who assured me that their biologist had walked the creek bed to make quite sure there were no nesting ducks in the undergrowth, and that any sparrows that may still be nesting in the holes would not be disturbed.
Piles of dirt can be seen in the creek bed which the Supervisor assured me would be removed as soon as the dirt dries out. Walkers in Mitchell Park will notice that excess water is being pumped out there.

Walkers,
What is your point?
So what, if ducks get eliminated in the name of flood control. Ducks reproduce like fleas. Flood control costs me a lot of money, especially when homeowners sue the city for failing to do so.
