Who's the best barber? Around Town, posted by allen clapp, assistant editor of the Palo Alto Weekly, on Jun 26, 2006 at 4:44 pm allen clapp is a member (registered user) of Palo Alto Online
When I lived in Redwood City, I had my hair cut by a barber located in the old Laurel Theatre building. His shop was just around the corner from the box office, and was like a living history museum of the past. The fixtures, the old wood panelling and the mood were distinctly midcentury. I went there loyally for about 10 years until they condemned the building and the old man retired. It took me a good year to find another barber I could trust.
I know I'm not the only one to be fiercely loyal to a particular barber.
This year, the Weekly's Best of Palo Alto gives you a chance to weigh in. For the first time, the readers' poll includes a Men's Haircut category.
