Who's the best barber?
Around Town, posted by allen clapp, assistant editor of the Palo Alto Weekly, on Jun 26, 2006 at 4:44 pm

When I lived in Redwood City, I had my hair cut by a barber located in the old Laurel Theatre building. His shop was just around the corner from the box office, and was like a living history museum of the past. The fixtures, the old wood panelling and the mood were distinctly midcentury. I went there loyally for about 10 years until they condemned the building and the old man retired. It took me a good year to find another barber I could trust.

I know I'm not the only one to be fiercely loyal to a particular barber.

This year, the Weekly's Best of Palo Alto gives you a chance to weigh in. For the first time, the readers' poll includes a Men's Haircut category.

Vote online today, and tell us who the best barber in town is.

Try Sam's barber shop on Lytton at Cowper. All the barbers are good, and the price is also.
