Attempted theft
Crimes & Incidents, posted by Jag Singh, a resident of the Duveneck/St. Francis neighborhood, on Jun 26, 2006 at 10:52 am

There was an attempted break in of a car parked in the driveway, at the corner of Louisa Ct. & Newell, at about 5.45 pm yesterday. The back window was broken but the homeowners purse lying on the front seat was not taken. Apparently, someone must have disturbed the thief.

It seems the PA police do not seem to be taking the burglaries seriously, which begs the question, why are we planning to build a 'Taj Mahal' police station costing millions when more basic security needs which are screaming for attention are largely ignored?

Make demands on the police department to take these things more seriously. Maybe they will also take it more seriously when people regard their own property with more seriousness - like not leaving their purse in their car.

If she didnt leave her purse in the open and making it tempting for the thief, her car would have never been broken into...dont give the criminals the opportunity.
